Thoughtfully designed to reflect compassion and care, this space prioritizes warmth, privacy, and accessibility. With a focus on creating a welcoming environment, the design integrates sustainable elements and collaborative efforts to foster a sense of security and dignity for those seeking support.
Gensler crafted a secure environment for First Love Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting, advising, and advocating for those facing poverty in Tower Hamlets. The design aims to embody the client’s mission of providing solace and warmth to those in need. The ground floor client advice center represents a new initiative for the organisation, previously known as Tower Hamlets Foodbank, which catered to the most vulnerable members of the community.
This fresh “front of house” area was designed to be inviting to visitors, ensuring privacy for confidential discussions and maintaining clear, unobstructed views for safety purposes. Utilising a blend of second-hand furniture and a soothing, understated colour scheme, the space exudes a cozy, personal atmosphere.
Through the collaboration of furniture suppliers, contractors, and volunteers, a sense of generosity and creativity permeates the project, successfully establishing a new “home” for First Love Foundation within the workplace.
