Frequently asked questions
It’s fine to ask a lot of questions, especially as we know you’re talking about a product that is made-to-measure for your specific site. We’ve tried to put the most common ones we get asked down here.
What is your lead time from date of order?
Lead times are mainly dependent on the specification we’re working with. For our standard products we’d estimate 2 weeks from date of detailed site survey. Curtains are normally 3 weeks due to the additional hand crafting detail associated with these. Please check with your Stansons contact for more accurate lead times for your specific project. Our team are also capable of pulling rabbits out of hats so do give us a ring if you have a particular deadline to meet!
Do you offer installation service?
Yes, we offer a full installation service on our projects. As all our products are bespoke, made to measure this service also includes a detailed site assessment and measure prior to manufacture.
Do you have a sample service?
Yes, we are more than happy to supply samples, we think they are very important! Our own range fabric samples are dispatched within 24 hours as we know speed is key. We can also supply other specification samples but lead times for these will be dependent on the manufacturer.
Are all your site installers CSCS accredited?
Yes, we take great pride in our site installation teams. They all hold CSCS accreditation and are all directly employed for a fast, flexible service and a high quality of workmanship. They even each carry their own vacuum in their van to ensure each project is left clean and neat!
Are site surveys free?
Yes, all our site surveys, site visits and design meetings are completely free. It’s so valuable for us to get involved at every stage of the project to give you the best service, please call us in!
Do you sell Silent Gliss products?
Yes, as an approved Silent Gliss distributor we supply and install a lot of their products.
How long do I have to wait for a quote?
The majority of our quotations are turned around in just 8 hours! We believe in speed. Of course, if your project requires a lot of scheduling or has particular technical design input required we may take a little longer – accuracy is just as important as speed.
How many blinds/curtains can you fit in a day?
Again, this is very dependent on individual specifications. If we are looking at a standard, manual control blinds/curtains you can reckon on a 2 man team installing circa 40-50 a day. Multiple teams can attend site if you have specific deadlines to hit, please discuss with your Project Manager.
